Schön das Du Dich für die Unterwasserwelt Nordeuropas interessierst!

Einige Worte zu der hier von mir präsentierten Datenbank muss ich los werden: Leider vermag sie nur einen kleinen Teil der Artenvielfalt des Nordost Atlantiks aufzuzeigen. Längst nicht alle Spezies vermag ich vor die Kamera zu bekommen und längst nicht alle Arten kann ich hier beschreiben.
Als ein Hobby-Projekt ist die Zeit begrenzt, welche ich hierin investieren kann und ganz sicher ist mir auch bei der Identifikation der abgebildeten Arten und der Beschreibungen mancher Fehler unterlaufen! Auch kann die Datenbank sicherlich nicht den Anspruch darauf erheben streng wissenschaftlich gehalten zu sein. Vielmehr möchte ich hier allen Interessierten eine Möglichkeit zum Stöbern, Lernen, Staunen und ein Nachschlagewerk um eigene Beobachtungen zu bestimmen bieten.

Some words to introduce you and to describe this database and  about my intentions: The database represents only a small part of the various and interesting marine life of the Northeast Atlantic. Many species I will never have in front of my camera lens and I am also not able to describe all known fishes and invertebrates which are living in the cold European sea waters.
This is a non-commercial project and the time I can spend on it is limited. And I am sure that I made some failures with the identifications of the photographed species and the descriptions of these animals! Further more this database is surely not made to fulfil serious scientific standards. However, it is made for all interested people as a possibility to see pictures of the species in their natural environments, to learn, maybe also to get surprised and of course also to help you to find our more about your own observations.
